Description

The Iper is a round LED bulkhead drawing 19W and putting out 2280 lumens at a neutral 4000K white, with a wide 120 degree spread that washes light evenly across the surface it sits on. Built-in PIR motion detection brings the fitting to life as someone approaches, so it stays off until needed. North American buyers will recognise this format as an outdoor wall pack or wall sconce; here it carries an integrated LED rather than a replaceable lamp, running straight off 220 to 240V AC mains.

Its sensor-triggered output and weatherproof shell make it a natural fit for entrances, porches, side passages, garage walls and the approach to outbuildings, where light is wanted on arrival rather than left burning all evening. Rather than lighting a room to a set brightness, this bulkhead works as targeted surface and approach lighting, the 120 degree beam covering a doorway or a stretch of path and the PIR reach giving a useful pool of light around the threshold. It mounts to a wall or to a ceiling soffit, so it suits both a porch underside and an exposed external wall.

Construction is white plastic with a round Ø200 by 55mm profile and a light weight of 440g, rated IP65 against dust and water jets and IK10 for strong impact resistance, which lets it cope with both exposed weather and knocks in a busy access area. The LED module is rated to 50,000 hours and the fitting is not dimmable, with the PIR governing on and off instead. The sensor settings let you tune how the light responds to movement on site. This bulkhead sits within the wider Iper range, which includes plain non-sensor versions for runs where constant light is preferred.

Frequently Asked

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The Iper is rated IP65, which means it is protected against dust and direct water jets, so it copes with fully exposed outdoor walls and wet locations such as porches, passages and garage entrances. It is also IK10 rated for strong impact resistance in busy access areas.

Where is this bulkhead typically used?

It works well at entrances, porches, side passages, stairwells and external garage or outbuilding walls. The PIR sensor makes it especially suited to approach points where you want light to come on automatically as someone arrives, rather than leaving a fitting on all night.

How does the PIR sensor work and can it be adjusted?

The built-in PIR detects movement and switches the light on for a set period, then off again once the area is clear. The sensor settings can be tuned on site so the fitting responds to the detection range and timing that suit the location.

How should I clean and maintain it?

Wipe the white plastic body and diffuser with a soft damp cloth once the fitting is switched off and cool, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could mark the surface. Keeping the lens clear of dirt and cobwebs also helps the PIR sensor read movement reliably.
