Description

The Knightsbridge IP65 ground spike spotlight houses a single GU10 fitting inside a grey powder-coated die-cast aluminium body with a clear glass diffuser. The lamp head tilts on a pivot bracket, allowing uplight to be directed at plants, walls, or architectural features from ground level. The unit ships with both a ground spike and a wall-mounting bracket, giving the option to install either into soil or onto vertical surfaces.

Designed for garden beds, driveways, pathway borders and outdoor feature lighting, the spotlight suits locations where a low-profile fitting is needed and mains voltage can be run in conduit underground or through external walls. The 2m pre-wired cable terminates in a connector for quick field installation. The IP65 rating protects against rain and water jets, making the fitting suitable for year-round outdoor use in exposed positions.

The grey powder coat blends into gravel, slate borders and contemporary paving without standing out during daylight, while the die-cast aluminium construction and toughened glass diffuser resist impacts from gardening tools and weather. The GU10 fitting accepts halogen or LED bulbs up to 10W (sold separately), with dimming capability dependent on the chosen bulb. Beam angles from 25° (narrow spot) to 120° (wide flood) are available depending on the GU10 lamp selected.

No. The fitting takes a standard GU10 halogen or LED bulb up to 10W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-7W GU10 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for garden uplighting.

Can it be wall-mounted as well as spiked into the ground?

Yes. The spotlight ships with both a ground spike and a wall-mounting bracket. The same lamp head fits either mounting option, allowing the fitting to be repositioned from soil to a wall surface if the layout changes.

Is it suitable for permanent outdoor installation?

Yes. The IP65 rating protects against rain, water jets and dust ingress. The die-cast aluminium body and toughened glass diffuser are built for year-round outdoor exposure in UK weather conditions.

How is the cable connected?

The 2m pre-wired cable terminates in a connector for quick field installation. Mains voltage must be run to the fitting location in conduit underground or through external walls. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician and comply with Part P of the Building Regulations.
