Description

This is a fixed round downlight with a white bezel and a black rear housing, rated IP65 and fire rated as printed on the pack. The bezel is plain and slightly domed, with no visible screws on the face, and the housing behind it carries sprung retaining clips that squeeze in as you push the fitting up into a prepared hole and then spring out above the plasterboard to hold it. Fixed means the aperture points straight down and stays there, which is what you want for even, repeatable spacing across a ceiling rather than for picking out a particular wall or worktop.

IP65 is the reason to choose it. That rating covers dust and jets of water, and the manufacturer states it is suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3, though not zone 0, which is the inside of the bath or shower tray itself.
