Description

The Knightsbridge KIT16B is a 10-pack blue LED deck light kit supplied with integrated 0.2W LEDs set in 30mm diameter stainless steel bezels, an outdoor-rated LED driver, and pre-wired connectors. Each light emits blue ambient illumination at 20 lumens total output across the kit, designed for low-level guide lighting rather than task lighting. The IP65 rating allows outdoor installation in decking, garden paths, or external wall recesses exposed to rain and dust.

The kit suits garden decking perimeters, patio step edges, driveway borders, and plinth lighting beneath outdoor kitchens or seating areas where subtle marker lighting improves navigation after dark without spilling light pollution. Indoors, the same lights work as kitchen plinth guides, stairway markers, or under-shelf accents in alcoves. The driver accepts 230V 50Hz mains and outputs constant current to all ten lights via daisy-chained cable runs. Maximum spacing between individual lights is 150cm, with the first light sitting up to 150cm from the driver and a 30cm mains cable from driver to supply.

Each bezel is cut from 304 stainless steel with a polycarbonate lens protecting the LED. The 25mm cut-out diameter requires a minimum void depth of 35mm behind the mounting surface, making the lights compatible with typical decking board thicknesses and standard plasterboard wall cavities. The recessed depth of 27mm means the bezel sits near-flush with the mounting surface once installed, minimising trip hazards on decking and reducing snagging risk on garden paths. The kit is non-dimmable but PIR-compatible, allowing connection to a separate PIR sensor for motion-activated operation. The blue LED colour temperature is fixed and cannot be changed.

What's the maximum cable run between lights?

The maximum distance between individual lights is 150cm. The first light can sit up to 150cm from the driver, and the driver has a 30cm mains cable to the supply. All ten lights connect via daisy-chain wiring using the supplied quick connectors.

Can these be used in a bathroom or wet room?

The IP65 rating protects against low-pressure water jets and dust ingress, making the lights suitable for outdoor use and damp locations. For bathroom zones, check the specific zone requirements in BS 7671 — IP65 is typically sufficient for zones 1 and 2 provided correct installation clearances are maintained.

Is the blue colour changeable?

No. The LEDs emit blue light only and cannot be changed to white or other colours. The blue wavelength is fixed by the LED chip design.

Can the kit be connected to a PIR sensor?

Yes. The kit is PIR-compatible, meaning it can be wired to a separate PIR sensor for motion-activated operation. The PIR sensor is not included in the kit and must be purchased separately.
