Description

The Knightsbridge IP65 LED ground deck light is an 80mm-diameter recessed fitting with a 316 stainless steel bezel, integrated 1.7W 3000K LED and opal diffuser. The fitting projects just 3mm above the installation surface when flush-mounted, with a 48mm recessed depth below and a 75mm cut-out diameter required for installation. A 2.5m pre-wired outdoor flex is supplied with the unit.

Designed for driveways, patios, decking, pathways and garden borders, the fitting is rated to withstand vehicle loads up to 1000kg at 5mph when correctly installed in a stable substrate. The IP65 rating protects the fitting from water jets and dust ingress, making it suitable for uncovered outdoor positions exposed to rain and garden irrigation. The 115-degree beam angle provides a wide pool of warm white light at ground level, useful for step lighting, pathway marking and low-level accent lighting around planting.

The 316 stainless steel bezel resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments better than 304-grade steel. The die-cast aluminium body dissipates heat from the 1.7W LED module, which delivers 90lm at 3000K warm white. The fitting is non-dimmable and runs directly from 230V mains without requiring an external driver or transformer. The L70B50 rating of 60,000 hours indicates the LED should retain 70% of its initial output after approximately seven years of continuous operation.

Yes, when correctly installed in a stable substrate. The fitting is rated to withstand loads up to 1000kg at speeds up to 5mph, making it suitable for driveways and parking areas with light vehicle traffic.

Is this dimmable?

No. The integrated 1.7W LED runs at a fixed output from 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What's the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel?

316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, giving it better resistance to corrosion from salt, chlorine and coastal atmospheres than 304-grade steel. This makes the fitting more durable in seaside locations and areas with high humidity or chemical exposure.
