Description

The Hoosic wall light pairs a slim anthracite cylinder with two opal diffusers that throw light both up and down the wall. It carries an integrated motion sensor with a 120 degree detection angle and a range of up to 8 metres, so it wakes as you approach. Light comes from two E27 bulbs (not included); the recommended E27 LED gives 470lm each in a 3000K warm white tone.

Standing 33cm tall with an 8.5cm width, it suits a house façade near the entrance, a balcony or a patio. The IP44 rating means it copes with splashing water and everyday weather, making it a sensible pick for sheltered exterior walls where you want automatic lighting after dark.

The body is die-cast aluminium in an anthracite finish, weighing just 0.7kg with a projection from the wall. Two E27 sockets keep bulb changes simple, and the up and down design spreads a soft, even glow across the surface behind it.
