Description

This is a festive velvet cushion measuring 30 x 50cm, a generous rectangular bolster shape that suits a sofa or bed better than a square scatter cushion does. The front carries a cheerful HoHoHo slogan worked in ornate lettering, each word interspersed with a decorated bauble motif, all set against a candy-striped ground in red and pink. It is made from 100% polyester, the front printed and embellished and the reverse a plain, soft velvet in a deep red.

The long, low proportions make it a natural choice for the middle of a three-seater sofa, propped against the arm of a chair, or laid across the head of a bed for the run-up to Christmas. It reads clearly from across a room, so it earns its place on a plain green, grey or neutral seat where the striped ground and the coloured baubles can do the talking. Bring it out for the season and put it away in the new year, and it will feel like a fresh thing each December rather than a fixture.

The reverse is a smooth velvet with a piped trim running around the edge, which gives the cushion a defined, finished border and helps it hold its shape on a seat. Velvet has a short, dense pile that catches the light and shows a gentle sheen, and the plain back means you can turn it over for a quieter look on days when the slogan is too much. It is one of a matching festive set alongside a Christmas sack and a stocking in the same HoHoHo design, so you can pull the look together across the room if you wish.

It is 100% polyester, with a printed and embellished front and a plain, soft velvet reverse in deep red.
