Description

This is a wide stoneware serving bowl, 28cm across and 9cm tall, with a capacity of 3350ml. The outside is a deep blue ground covered in hand-painted leafy sprigs, with birds standing among the branches. Inside, a fine blue floral print runs up the walls and three birds fly across the broad, flat base, so the bowl is as good to look into as it is to look at. It is the sort of piece that stays out on the counter between meals.

At 3350ml it is a sharing bowl rather than an everyday cereal bowl: big enough for a green salad, a pasta dish or a heap of roast vegetables brought to the middle of the table.
