Description

Our Heath eyelet curtains are made from an enzyme-washed velvet, the kind of surface that has been softened after weaving so it drapes with weight rather than stiffness. A jacquard weave runs through the cloth, giving the face a fine, irregular texture that catches the light gently and reads as quiet depth rather than pattern. This is the charcoal colourway, a deep grey-black that sits somewhere between the two, and each order is a pair of curtains with a fully lined back and an eyelet header ready to thread straight onto a pole.

Velvet at a window does two jobs. It brings a soft, tactile richness to a room, and its weight helps the fabric fall in full, even folds that hold their shape from pole to floor. Charcoal is a colour that settles a space rather than announcing itself, so these work in a calm living room, a bedroom where you want the light dimmed, or a study that needs a little more warmth underfoot and overhead. They sit comfortably against wood tones, cream walls and natural-fibre rugs, and pair as easily with a mid-century chair as with something more traditional.

The eyelet header means hanging is a matter of sliding the rings over the pole, with no hooks or tape to fuss over, and the fabric gathers into deep vertical pleats as you draw it. The lining adds body and helps the curtains block more of the daylight than an unlined panel would. Being a polyester velvet, the cloth resists creasing and holds its colour well through everyday use. We offer this design in several drop and width combinations, so you can match the pair to your window rather than trimming a standard size to fit.

Frequently Asked

Do I get one curtain or two?

Each order is a pair of curtains, so you receive two panels covering the width stated for that size option.

What does washed velvet feel like?

The cloth is enzyme-washed after weaving, which softens the pile and gives it a relaxed, slightly textured hand rather than a crisp, flat finish.

Will these fit my curtain pole?

They have an eyelet header, so the metal rings slide directly onto a standard curtain pole with no hooks or tape needed.

Are they lined?

Yes, every pair is fully lined, which adds body to the drape and helps reduce the amount of daylight that passes through.

How do I choose the right size?

Sizes run from 117 x 137cm up to 229 x 229cm, given as width then drop per pair, so measure your pole width and desired length before ordering.

Is the charcoal colour warm or cool?

It is a deep neutral grey-black that leans quiet and settled, working well with wood tones, cream walls and natural textures.
