Description
The Haze cushion is a plain velvet rectangle in a warm sunset orange, made up in a 40 x 60cm lumbar shape. What gives it its character is the surface: rows of fine quilted ripples run across the velvet front, catching the light unevenly so the colour shifts from a deep burnt tone in the pile to a lighter, almost caramel note where the ridges rise. The reverse, as the photograph shows, is a smoother velvet in the same orange, with a plain flap-style opening across the back.
The 40 x 60cm oblong is the classic lumbar or bolster proportion, which makes it a good choice laid flat against the back of a sofa or an armchair where a square cushion would sit too tall. It works as the front layer over larger square cushions, or singly along a bench or the head of a bed. The rust-orange tone sits happily against neutrals, deep greens and browns, so it suits an autumnal or earthy scheme in a living room, snug or bedroom without needing anything else to carry it.
The front and back are both a soft, short-pile velvet that feels smooth under the hand, with the quilted texture giving the front some structure. The opening is a plain closure across the reverse, so the cover can be taken off the pad. Because the record does not carry care instructions we have not printed a wash guide here, so treat it gently and check the label sewn into the cover before cleaning. If you like the shape, the Haze range is offered in other colourways, so the same quilted velvet can be matched across a room.

Frequently Asked
What is the cover made of?
Both the front and the back are a 100% polyester velvet, so you get the soft, short pile of velvet with the easy-care behaviour of a synthetic fibre.
What size and shape is this cushion?
It is a 40 x 60cm rectangle, the classic lumbar or bolster proportion, which sits well flat against a sofa back rather than standing upright like a square.
Does the cover come off?
Yes, there is a plain opening across the reverse of the cushion, so the cover can be removed from the pad when you need to.
What colour is it in real life?
It reads as a warm rust or burnt orange, shifting between deeper and lighter tones across the quilted ridges as the light catches the velvet pile.
What does it go with?
The earthy orange tone pairs naturally with neutrals, deep greens and browns, making it an easy layer for an autumnal living room, snug or bedroom scheme.
