These small stoneware bowls come as a set of three, each one 10cm across and 6.5cm tall with a capacity of 260ml. That puts them in dip and side bowl territory: big enough for a handful of nuts or a scoop of ice cream, small enough to fit several onto a crowded table. The outside of every bowl carries an all-over dotted pattern on a streaked, glossy glaze, and the glaze runs differently on each, so no two bowls look quite identical.

In the kitchen they suit the small jobs that come up every day: pesto or chopped herbs beside the chopping board, olives and crisps when friends visit, a dressing next to a salad or a dip for warm bread. At the dining table they work as individual bowls for condiments, sauces or a small pudding, one at each place. Away from food, the dotted surface earns them a spot on an open shelf or in a glass-fronted cabinet, and on a dressing table or hall console they keep rings, keys or hair clips together.
