This is a round marble bowl, carved with deep vertical ridges that run from the centre out to a scalloped, wavy rim, so from above it looks like an opened flower or a fluted shell. It is made of 100% marble in beige, with soft darker veining running through the stone. At 17.5cm across and 6cm tall it is a shallow, open bowl rather than a deep one, and at 1.44KG it is a reassuringly weighty piece that sits firmly in place.
