Description

Our Harmonia bowl is made entirely of marble and finished to a polish. Its walls fold into deep, even flutes that run from the centre out to a pleated, wavy rim, so from above it looks like an open flower and from the side like a ruffled collar. It is a low, wide shape, 17.5cm across and 6cm tall, with a capacity of 100ml, which makes it a shallow dish for small things rather than a deep bowl for a meal. The white stone carries soft natural veining, and at 1.45KG it has real weight in the hand.

The maker states it can hold food, so it works as a small serving dish for olives, nuts, sweets or a few chocolates with coffee. Away from the table it makes a fine catch-all on a hallway console for keys and rings, a jewellery dish on a dressing table, or a home for soap and hair ties beside a bathroom basin.
