Description

The Knightsbridge CAPWGU is a recessed ground light built around a GU10 lampholder rated to 35W maximum, housed in a 304 stainless steel bezel with an IP65 rating against dust and water jets. The light installs flush with ground level and can withstand vehicle loads up to 1000kg at 5mph, making it suitable for driveways, pathways and patio edges where occasional vehicle or foot traffic occurs.

Designed for outdoor architectural lighting, the fitting creates upward light wash on walls, pillars, trees or building facades when installed at their base. The adjustable half-lip cover allows the beam to be directed in a specific direction rather than casting light in a full 360-degree circle, giving control over which areas receive illumination. The 88mm diameter bezel sits nearly flush with the ground surface, projecting just 29mm above ground level when installed.

The body requires a 109mm recessed depth below ground and a 65mm cut-out diameter, or 70mm if using the optional installation sleeve. The fitting is pre-wired with 150mm of 3-core 1mm² H05RN-F cable terminating in a compression gland at the base, allowing connection to mains wiring below ground. The 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in wet outdoor environments and the clear polycarbonate diffuser protects the bulb while allowing maximum light transmission. GU10 bulbs are sold separately.
