Description
This GU10 LED spotlight bulb gives a focused, directional output suited to accent and downlighting tasks. It draws just 6.5 W to deliver 535 lumens at 2700K warm white, a soft yellow-toned light that flatters skin, wood and warm interiors. The PAR16 spot body throws a 36 degree beam, tight enough to pick out a worktop, picture or shelf without spilling across the whole room. American buyers will recognise the GU10 as the twist-lock mains spotlight cap, a quarter-turn fit rather than the low-voltage two-pin MR16 type that needs a transformer.
Because the beam is narrow and the tone is warm, this bulb works best where you want light placed rather than spread: over a kitchen island or counter, washing down a feature wall, lighting a display alcove or grouping several into a ceiling for layered accent light. Aim several at the same surface for a brighter pool, or space them to mark a run of cabinets or artwork. The high Ra 95 colour rendering shows colours close to natural daylight, which makes it a good choice anywhere true colour matters, such as a kitchen or a dressing area. As an indoor IP20 bulb it should be kept to dry interior fittings.
The bulb runs directly on 220 to 240 V AC mains through the GU10 cap, so no separate driver or transformer is needed. It measures Ø50 by 57 mm with a silver finish and weighs 38 g, fitting standard GU10 holders and recessed downlight housings. Efficiency is rated at 89 lm/W with a 25,000 hour lifespan. This is a non-dimmable bulb, so pair it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. Other warm white GU10 options sit alongside it in our range.

Frequently Asked
What fitting does this bulb need?
It has a GU10 cap, the twist-lock mains spotlight base used in most recessed downlights and spotlight fittings. You push it in and turn a quarter turn to lock. It runs straight off 220 to 240 V mains, so no transformer is required, unlike a low-voltage MR16 type.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
It draws only 6.5 W itself but gives the light output of an 85 W traditional bulb, producing 535 lumens. The LED uses a fraction of the power for comparable brightness, which keeps running costs low over its 25,000 hour rated life.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb. It should be used on a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer circuit, as fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or shorten its life.
What is the beam angle and where does it suit?
The beam is 36 degrees, a focused spot that places light rather than flooding a room. It suits accent lighting over counters, feature walls, artwork and display areas, especially where the Ra 95 colour rendering helps show true colours.
