Description

This Knightsbridge GU10 track spotlight combines a 34mm cylindrical aluminium body in brushed chrome with a plastic track connector that clips onto standard single-circuit track systems. The spotlight rotates 350° on the track mount and tilts 80° from vertical, allowing light to be directed across walls, onto display surfaces, or down onto task areas.

Designed for kitchens, retail displays, galleries and offices where directional accent or task lighting is needed, the spotlight accepts any GU10 halogen or LED bulb up to 50W (sold separately). The 131mm projection from the track rail keeps the light source clear of the ceiling plane, reducing glare when angled towards work surfaces or feature walls. The brushed chrome finish softens reflections and pairs with both stainless steel kitchen fixtures and contemporary office interiors.

The aluminium construction weighs approximately 120g per spotlight, light enough for most track systems to carry multiple units without sagging. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. Dimming capability depends on the bulb fitted — a dimmable GU10 LED paired with a compatible dimmer provides full brightness control, while non-dimmable bulbs operate at fixed output.

The spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a 4-6W GU10 LED for equivalent brightness to a 35-50W halogen while reducing heat output and energy consumption.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb fitted. A dimmable GU10 LED paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer provides smooth brightness control. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs operate at fixed output regardless of dimmer presence.

What track systems is it compatible with?

The plastic track connector fits standard single-circuit track systems common in UK retail and residential installations. Verify track rail profile before ordering — the connector is designed for straight-profile single-circuit track, not three-circuit or low-voltage systems.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 minimum for zones around showers and baths. Use this spotlight in kitchens, living rooms, hallways, offices and retail spaces only.
