Description
This GU10 LED spotlight bulb gives a directional, warm white output well suited to accent and feature lighting indoors. It draws 12 W on its own while standing in for an old 84 W bulb, producing 950 lumens at a controlled 40 degree beam that picks out artwork, shelving or a worktop without scattering light across the room. The cap is the GU10 twist-lock type, so it runs straight from the 220 to 240 V mains with no separate transformer needed. To US shoppers this is the mains-voltage twist-lock spot rather than the low-voltage MR16, which uses the two-pin GU5.3 cap and a driver instead.
The 2700K warm white tone and high Ra 97 colour rendering make it a strong choice for living rooms, dining areas and hallways where colours need to read accurately, as well as retail or display niches. Its narrow 40 degree beam means it works best for focused tasks and highlighting rather than washing a whole ceiling, so think of it in terms of throw and the object it picks out rather than a room-coverage figure. Several fitted together along a track or in recessed spots build up a layered scheme. The bulb is for dry indoor use only and should be kept out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor position.
Built on the ES-111 light source in a spot shape, the bulb measures 111 mm in diameter by 78 mm long and weighs 154 g, in a silver finish. It is fully dimmable on a compatible LED dimmer, letting the output be tuned to suit the setting. Efficiency is rated at 79 lm/W with a 45,000 hour lifespan, so it runs for years before replacement. This bulb sits in our wider GU10 range alongside other caps and shapes.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has a GU10 twist-lock cap, the standard mains-voltage spotlight fitting. You simply push it in and twist a quarter turn to lock it, with no transformer or driver required as it runs directly from the 220 to 240 V mains.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws just 12 W yet replaces an older 84 W bulb, producing 950 lumens. That gives the same useful brightness for a fraction of the running cost over its 45,000 hour rated lifespan.
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes, it is fully dimmable when used with a compatible LED dimmer switch. We recommend checking your dimmer is rated for LED loads to get smooth, flicker-free control across the range.
Is the colour warm or cool?
It is a 2700K warm white, a soft, cosy tone that suits living and dining spaces. With a very high Ra 97 colour rendering, it shows colours and materials accurately, which makes it good for display and accent lighting.
