Description

The Grolane is a square LED panel light for the ceiling, 59.5cm long, 59.5cm wide and just 5cm deep, so it keeps a slim, tidy profile close to the ceiling. The body is white steel and the diffuser is white plastic, set back within a broad white frame that gives the panel a clean, layered edge. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 35.5W and giving 1,170 lumens, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms only.

Square and generous in size, it suits rooms that want even, general light: a living room, a home office, a study, a bedroom or a hallway. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K to a crisp 6500K, so the same panel can feel cosy in the evening and bright and clear while you work. It is dimmable as well, and its RGB colour-changing light washes the ceiling around the frame, giving a soft coloured glow for a film night, a party or a calm end to the day. For anyone who wants a single ceiling light for work and play, this is a sensible choice.

You control it by app, setting the brightness, the shade of white and the colour; it also works with a remote control, which is sold separately. There is no switch on the light itself, so it is switched at the wall as usual. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and carries an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 5.551KG, so plan for an extra pair of hands when lifting it into place.
