Description

The Gosmelle LED downlight is a round, slim ceiling light with a black steel body and a white plastic diffuser. It is 28.5cm in diameter and only 2.8cm deep, so it sits neatly against the ceiling rather than hanging down into the room. The light source is an integrated LED drawing 20.5W and giving 2,400 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, so there is no separate bulb to buy or fit. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoor rooms that stay dry, never a bathroom or an outside wall.

In a hallway, on a landing or in a bedroom, the thin black rim frames the white diffuser and looks crisp against a white or pale grey ceiling, tying in neatly with black door handles, picture frames and hardware. With 2,400 lumens from a single fitting, it gives a room plenty of general light, which makes it a sensible choice for a living room or home office too. The warm 3000K is the soft, homely tone most of us prefer once evening comes, and because it is dimmable the light can sit lower for a quieter mood. We think it suits anyone swapping an old pendant for something cleaner and lower profile.
