Description

This metal golf buggy figurine brings a small piece of the fairway indoors, modelled down to the golf bag and clubs riding on the back. A flat canopy sits on slim posts above a bench seat with curved armrests, a steering wheel on its column and a ridged floor, while the four wheels carry copper-toned hubs. The body is finished in an antique bronze tone, with copper picking out the panel lines, the bumpers, the bag and the club heads. It stands 10.5cm tall, 16cm wide and 9.5cm deep, so it reads clearly on a shelf without taking over the space.

It suits a desk in a study or home office, a bookcase, a mantelpiece or a cabinet beside trophies and scorecards, anywhere a love of the game deserves a nod. It stands on its own four wheels, so it needs no wall and no fixings, and it can move from desk to shelf whenever the mood takes you. We think it makes a thoughtful Father's Day gift, a keepsake that stays on the desk long after the card has been put away, and its compact size makes it easy to wrap.

The buggy is made of metal, and the bronze body with its copper details gives it a warm, aged look that sits well beside wood, leather and brass. It is a decorative piece for display indoors, at home or in the office. To care for it, dust it gently with a soft dry cloth, using a small soft brush to reach between the canopy posts and around the clubs, and keep it away from water and damp to look after the finish. When you place it, turn it slightly on the shelf so the golf bag and the canopy both show, and it reads as a little scene rather than a flat outline.
