Description

The Glistenis is a constant current LED driver supplying 21W at 500mA, designed to power LED downlights, linear fittings and strip installations that require a fixed current rather than fixed voltage. The driver maintains stable 500mA output across its operating range, preventing flicker and extending LED lifespan by eliminating current fluctuations that degrade LED junctions over time.

Measuring 110mm long by 52mm wide with 150mm input and output cable tails, the driver fits inside ceiling voids, behind panels and within light fittings where space is restricted. It operates on 220-240V mains input and includes thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection to prevent damage if the output is accidentally shorted or the driver overheats. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations including ceiling voids, wall cavities and cabinet plenums.

The 1-10V dimming protocol allows the driver to be paired with compatible 1-10V dimmers, reducing light output from 100% down to approximately 10% depending on the connected LED load. This analogue dimming protocol is widely used in commercial lighting control systems and interfaces with most building management systems. The white polycarbonate housing dissipates heat through ventilation slots on the top face, and the driver carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.
