Description

The Glacia is a 1200mm linear canopy built to support up to six pendant lights on a single rectangular black metal base. The canopy measures 1200mm long by 35mm deep, providing six electrical outlet points along its length for pendants to be spaced evenly or clustered depending on the desired configuration.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and workbenches requiring multiple pendant drops from a single ceiling fixing point, the Glacia allows pendants to be arranged in a linear pattern rather than grouped at a single ceiling rose. The 1200mm length suits tables between 1600-2400mm long, with pendants typically positioned 600-700mm above the table surface depending on ceiling height and pendant drop length.

The black powder-coated metal finish pairs with both contemporary and industrial interiors, and the low 35mm profile keeps the canopy recessed close to the ceiling once installed. The rectangular form factor works particularly well with modern open-plan spaces where linear lighting arrangements reinforce the architectural geometry of the room. Each of the six outlet points accepts standard UK pendant wiring.

Does this come with pendant lights?

No. The Glacia is a canopy base only. Pendant lights, cable and bulbs are sold separately. This allows you to choose the pendant style, drop length and light source that suits your installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 35mm projection means the canopy sits close to the ceiling once installed. For a dining table arrangement with pendants hanging 600-700mm above the surface, a minimum ceiling height of 2.4m is recommended. Higher ceilings allow for longer pendant drops.

Can all six outlets be used at once?

Yes. The canopy is rated to support six pendant lights simultaneously. Check the combined wattage does not exceed the circuit rating for the room where the canopy is being installed.

What spacing is there between the six outlet points?

The six outlet points are evenly spaced along the 1200mm length, giving approximately 200mm between each outlet centre. This allows pendants to be distributed evenly or you can choose to use fewer than six outlets if a wider spacing is preferred.
