Description

This is a large decorative globe light bulb with visible LED filaments inside clear glass, giving the warm vintage look of an old incandescent lamp. It fits an E27 Edison Screw (ES) holder and draws just 7 W while putting out 725 lumens, replacing a 55 W traditional bulb. The light is a soft 2500K warm white, close to old filament tone, and spreads across a wide 320 degree beam so the glowing filaments are seen from almost any angle. In the round household sense this is the larger G95 shape, a step up from a standard A60.

The 95 mm diameter globe suits open fittings where the bulb itself is part of the look, such as pendants over a dining table, kitchen island or bar, exposed bulb cluster fittings, and bedside or hallway lamps. With a wide 320 degree spread and warm 2500K tone it gives gentle, glare-soft ambient light rather than directional task light, so it works best as a feature or mood light in living and dining spaces. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp positions.

Construction is a clear glass G95 globe over real LED filament strips, mounted on an E27 cap, with an amber-toned finish to the source. Efficiency is 104 lm/W and rated life is 15,000 hours, with a CRI of Ra 80 for natural colour. This bulb is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer. Which fitting do I need for this bulb?

It has an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap, the larger screw-in fitting common on UK pendants and table lamps. Simply screw it into any standard E27 holder. It will not fit a smaller E14 or bayonet socket.

What old bulb wattage does it replace?

The LED draws only 7 W itself but gives 725 lumens, which replaces roughly a 55 W traditional incandescent bulb. You get a similar brightness for a small fraction of the energy.

Is this bulb dimmable?

No, this is a non-dimmable bulb, so use it with a normal on/off switch rather than a dimmer. Fitting it to a dimmer circuit can cause flicker or buzzing and shorten its life.

Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?

No, it is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only. Keep it away from bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp locations, in open enclosed indoor fittings instead.
