Description

This G9 capsule LED bulb is a small bi-pin lamp that drops into a G9 holder, giving 360 lumens of 3000K warm white light from a draw of just 3.5W. Across the US it would be listed as a G9 bi-pin LED bulb, the low-profile capsule shape used in compact fittings. The wide 320 degree beam angle spreads light evenly rather than throwing it in one direction, so the small body still fills the shade or diffuser around it. At 3.5W it replaces a 32W halogen capsule of the same fitting, keeping the same brightness while cutting the running cost.

Its compact Ø16 by 50mm body suits the enclosed fittings that take G9 lamps, such as wall lights, pendants, table lamps and small ceiling fittings in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The 320 degree spread makes it well suited to multi-lamp fittings where several capsules share the work, and the warm 3000K tone keeps those rooms relaxed rather than clinical. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so keep it to interior fittings and clear of damp areas.

The capsule runs on 220 to 240V AC mains and is fully dimmable, so it works on a compatible LED dimmer to set the level you want. Light quality is held at CRI Ra 80 for natural-looking colour, with a rated life of 15,000 hours and an efficiency of 103 lm/W. The lamp weighs only 12g and carries a plain white capsule body.
