Description
The Funk is a sculptural wall light built around a matt white metal cone with a flared, hourglass-style profile and a beaten gold interior. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the cone, and the fitting projects from a circular wall plate via a slim white stem. A small brass toggle switch on the front of the wall plate operates the light independently of the room circuit.
Designed for bedrooms, reading nooks, hallways and dressing areas, the Funk works as both a decorative wall feature and a directional light source. The cone angles downward, casting most of its light onto the area below the fitting, which makes it useful as bedside reading light when mounted at headboard height. The integrated brass switch means it can be turned on and off without reaching for a wall plate or pull cord.
The cone measures 28.5cm tall and 22.5cm wide, giving the fitting enough presence to act as a wall feature without dominating a small wall. The beaten gold interior is hand-finished, so the texture and reflectivity vary slightly between pieces. When lit, the gold inner surface warms the colour temperature of the bulb, throwing a softer, amber-leaning pool of light than a plain white interior would produce.
The matt white exterior pairs cleanly with Scandinavian, modern and mid-century interiors, while the brass switch and gold interior add a metallic accent that links the fitting to brass-finished hardware elsewhere in the room. Mount as a single fitting beside a bed, or pair either side of a mirror or sofa for symmetrical task lighting.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Funk takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. An E27 GLS filament bulb suits the industrial-modern styling and pairs well with the beaten gold interior, but any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb will fit.
Does it have its own switch?
Yes. A small brass toggle switch is mounted on the front of the circular wall plate, which controls the light independently of the room circuit. This is useful for bedside use where reaching a wall switch isn't practical.
Can the head be angled?
The cone hangs from a fixed stem and sits at a natural downward angle. The fitting is not designed as an adjustable spotlight, so the light direction is set by the geometry of the piece rather than by user adjustment.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No IP rating is specified for the Funk, so it should be installed in dry rooms only — bedrooms, hallways, lounges, dressing areas and reading nooks. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or external use.
