Description

The Frelvine is a smart LED flush ceiling light. It is a slim round drum with a black plastic body, 69cm across and just 7cm deep, and a white plastic diffuser that fills the whole underside. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 36.5W to give 5,300 lumens, a generous output for a living room or open-plan space. It carries an IP20 rating, which means it is made for dry rooms indoors, well away from bathrooms and the outdoors.

Because it sits close to the ceiling, it suits living rooms, dining areas and open-plan spaces where a pendant would hang too low over a table or crowd a modest ceiling height. The colour temperature runs from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K. You can keep a cosy glow for the evening and move to crisp, bright white for working or reading. It is dimmable and colour-changing too, with RGB colour for washing the room in soft pinks or cool blues whenever the mood calls for it. We like it for families who want a single light that handles homework, dinner and film night.

Everything is set from an app on your phone, and it also works with a remote control, which is sold separately. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so your existing wall switch stays in charge of power. The black body has a soft, matt look that sits crisply against the white diffuser, and the light weighs 4.275KG packed. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and carries an energy class of E. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
