Description

Frame is a ceiling light in black and antique brass. A wide shallow black drum with a band of fine perforated mesh running right round its side, so the rim reads as a screen between two solid black edges. The bottom is closed by a flat opal diffuser with a brushed brass boss at its centre, and several lamps show through it as soft bright patches rather than one even glow. The drum is much wider than it is deep and its edges are square rather than rolled. It sits tight against the ceiling. The black is a flat matt tone with no shine on it. It measures 43cm across.

Mounted flush it clears a doorway and a low ceiling, so a corridor, a landing or a small bedroom is its territory, and it lights the whole room evenly rather than pooling on one surface. It is the light you put in first and stop noticing, which is the point of a flush fitting: it does the general lighting so the lamps in the room can do the rest.

The holder is G9 and takes up to 10W each. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

A G9 lamp up to 10W. Bulbs are supplied separately so you can choose the brightness and colour you want.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, on a compatible dimmer, provided the lamp you fit is a dimmable one. The fitting has no dimmer of its own.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
