Description

The Fradelo is a compact square LED flush ceiling light in bright chrome, just 14cm long, 14cm wide and 6cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps clear of heads in tight spaces. A sparkling crystal-effect frame surrounds a mirrored chrome centre, and the LEDs are integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy. It gives 400 lumens of warm white light at 3000K from just 3.2W. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and anywhere damp.

Its small footprint suits places where a larger ceiling light would crowd the room: a hallway, a landing, a walk-in wardrobe, a small bedroom or a study. The shallow 6cm height is a real help under a low ceiling, and a pair or a row along a corridor gives an even, glittering line of light. The warm white tone suits a home that leans towards soft, relaxed lighting rather than a cold office glow. Whenever the LEDs are lit, the textured frame catches the light and throws a gentle sparkle, giving a plain ceiling some character without taking any headroom.

The body is steel finished in chrome, and the shade combines plastic and brilliant glass, in chrome and clear, to create that crystal effect. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it works from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz and carries energy class E. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available to download. Packed, it weighs 0.542KG. Once it is fitted, the wall switch is all you need, with no bulbs to buy and no settings to learn.
