Description

The Fort ECSPVS is a wireless vibration sensor designed to detect impact, knocks and forced entry attempts on windows, doors, walls and garage doors as part of a Fort smart alarm system. The 67mm x 25mm x 85mm sensor mounts directly onto the surface being monitored and wirelessly transmits an alarm signal to the Fort control panel when vibration exceeds the sensitivity threshold.

Designed for residential and light commercial burglar alarm installations, the sensor is typically mounted on window frames to detect break attempts, on metal roller shutters to detect forced lifting, or on internal walls adjacent to safes or high-value storage areas. The wireless operation removes the need for cable runs, making it suitable for retrofit installations where running alarm wiring is impractical. The sensor pairs with Fort smart alarm panels and integrates into the broader Fort ecosystem for remote monitoring via the Fort mobile app.

The compact 67mm height and 25mm depth allow the sensor to be mounted discretely on window sills, door frames and wall corners without protruding significantly into the room. The unit runs on battery power (battery type and life span detailed in the manual linked below), and the wireless protocol typically operates on 868MHz or 433MHz depending on the Fort system variant. At 30g net weight the sensor mounts securely using the supplied adhesive pad or screw fixings without needing structural reinforcement.

Frequently Asked

What alarm systems is this sensor compatible with?

The ECSPVS is designed for Fort smart alarm systems. It wirelessly pairs with Fort control panels and integrates into the Fort app ecosystem for remote monitoring and alerts. It will not work with third-party alarm brands without a compatible receiver.

Where should the sensor be mounted?

Mount the sensor directly onto the surface you want to monitor — typically on window frames to detect break attempts, on roller shutter housings to detect forced lifting, or on walls adjacent to safes. The surface should be clean, dry and free of vibration from normal use (e.g. not on a door that slams daily).

How is the sensitivity adjusted?

Sensitivity adjustment varies by Fort system model. Some sensors have a physical sensitivity dial, while others are configured through the Fort control panel or app. Consult the product manual linked above for the specific adjustment method for the ECSPVS.

What battery does it use and how long does it last?

Battery type and expected life span are detailed in the product manual. Most Fort wireless sensors use CR123A or similar lithium cells and provide 12-24 months of operation depending on how frequently the sensor is triggered and the wireless signal strength to the panel.
