Description

The Focus S is a single surface-mounted spotlight with a white aluminium body, a cylindrical swivel head measuring 52mm diameter and 128mm total height, and a GU10 fitting rated for bulbs up to 10W. The head rotates through approximately 350° horizontally and tilts vertically to direct the beam onto walls, artwork, countertops or specific zones within a room.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail display areas and galleries where directed task or accent lighting is needed without recessed ceiling wiring, the Focus S mounts directly onto ceiling surfaces using a circular base plate. The swivel mechanism allows the light to be repositioned after installation without removing or re-fixing the fitting, making it suitable for rooms where furniture layout or display positions change over time. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish provides a neutral backdrop that works across contemporary, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors, and the compact 52mm diameter means the fitting does not dominate smaller ceiling areas. The GU10 base accepts standard retrofit LED spotlights (sold separately), giving control over beam angle, colour temperature and output independently of the fitting itself. Multiple Focus S units can be installed in line or grouped to create multi-point adjustable lighting across kitchen islands, workbenches or corridor runs.

What bulb does the Focus S take?

The fitting takes a standard GU10 spotlight bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GU10 LED in the 5-7W range with either 2700K warm white or 4000K neutral white depending on the application.

Can the head be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cylindrical head swivels horizontally through approximately 350° and tilts vertically, allowing the beam to be redirected towards different areas of the room without removing or re-fixing the spotlight.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Focus S is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or water spray is present. For bathrooms, choose a spotlight with an IP44 or IP65 rating.

How is it installed?

The Focus S is surface-mounted, meaning it fixes directly onto the ceiling surface using a circular base plate. The fitting requires mains wiring to a ceiling rose or junction box and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
