The Fluxy LED is a cordless, USB-rechargeable table lamp that runs from an internal 3.7V 18650 cell rather than a mains cable, so it lifts off the table and goes wherever the light is wanted. It draws a maximum of 1.7W and gives up to 140 lm of warm 3000K light, a soft glow rather than a working spotlight. Sold in the US bracket this sits among portable and battery table lamps, the cordless lamp you charge up and carry between rooms or out to the garden.

Because it is rechargeable and rated IP44, the Fluxy moves easily between a bedside table, a bar top, a dining setting and a sheltered patio or covered terrace. The 140 lm output is a low ambient pool of light for atmosphere and close company rather than even room lighting, so it works as a table centrepiece, a reading-corner companion or evening dining light rather than a main fitting. Standing 260 mm tall on a Ø110 mm base, it suits being grouped along a table or run of seating, and the splash rating means a porch or carport setting is fine. The body is built from plastic and metal in a yellow finish, with an integrated LED rated for 25,000 hours and a CRI of Ra 80 for natural-looking colour. The Fluxy holds an internal 3.7V 18650 rechargeable cell that tops up over USB, so there is no mains lead to plug in. Runtime depends on the brightness setting, and the LED itself is rated for 25,000 hours of life. Charge it fully before first use and recharge once the light begins to dim.

Can I use it outdoors as well as indoors?

Yes. With an IP44 rating it is splash-resistant and suited to covered or sheltered outdoor spots such as a porch, carport or shaded patio, as well as any indoor table. Keep it clear of direct rain, water jets and submersion, as IP44 covers splashing only.

How bright is it and what is it best used for?
