Description

The Fluxis is a 60cm flush ceiling light with a matt black metal rim surrounding a satin polycarbonate diffuser that houses an integrated 3000K LED. The flush-mount design sits close to the ceiling with minimal projection, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant or semi-flush fittings would intrude into headroom.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and large offices, the Fluxis provides general ambient light across areas of 15-20m². The satin polycarbonate diffuser spreads the LED output evenly across the ceiling plane, avoiding the concentrated hotspot that comes with direct downlights or bare bulbs. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light that suits residential interiors without the yellow cast of older incandescent bulbs.

The matt black metal rim gives the fitting a defined edge against white or light-coloured ceilings, while the 595mm diameter provides enough visual presence to anchor a room without overwhelming smaller spaces. The integrated LED cannot be replaced, but the 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers the full fitting including the LED module. The IP20 rating limits the Fluxis to indoor dry locations — it is not rated for bathrooms, outdoor use or areas exposed to moisture.

Is the Fluxis dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed output on standard 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What room size does it suit?

The 60cm diameter and integrated LED output suit rooms of approximately 15-20m², depending on the level of light needed. For larger living rooms or open-plan spaces, consider pairing two Fluxis fittings or using this alongside additional accent lighting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Fluxis is only suitable for indoor dry locations. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones 1 and 2, and IP65 for zone 0 (inside the shower enclosure).

How is the LED replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The entire fitting would need to be replaced at end of life, but the 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers the full unit including the LED module.
