Description

The Fluxis is a 595mm diameter flush ceiling light with a white metal body and a satin polycarbonate diffuser that covers an integrated LED light source. The flush-mount design sits close to the ceiling without a visible drop, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant or semi-flush would intrude into headroom.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, open-plan kitchens and commercial spaces where even ambient light is needed across a wide area, the Fluxis distributes 3000K warm-white light through the polycarbonate diffuser without creating hard shadows or visible hotspots. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only — bedrooms, living areas, offices and hallways, but not bathrooms or outdoor locations.

The white finish on the metal body is a clean matt tone that pairs with both white ceilings and warmer magnolia or neutral wall colours. The satin polycarbonate diffuser hides the internal LED array when the light is off, presenting as a single continuous white disc. The integrated LED is not user-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. The light is non-dimmable and operates on standard 230V UK mains wiring via a ceiling rose connection.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Fluxis is not protected against moisture ingress and must only be installed in dry indoor spaces. For bathrooms you need a fitting with at least an IP44 rating.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at full brightness when switched on. It cannot be paired with a dimmer switch.

What room size does this suit?

The 595mm diameter and integrated LED output make this suitable for rooms of approximately 12-18m² — typical living rooms, dining rooms and mid-to-large bedrooms. For smaller rooms under 10m² a 40cm or 50cm flush light may be more proportionate.

Can the LED be replaced if it fails?

The integrated LED is not user-replaceable. The unit carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux, so failures within that period are covered by manufacturer support.
