This is a candle holder made entirely of marble: a low white block with a gentle curve along its length and two candle holes set into the top. One long face curves inwards and the opposite face curves outwards, so it reads as an arc on the table rather than a plain brick. It measures 14.5cm long, 7.5cm wide and 6cm tall, a compact footprint that still takes two candles side by side. At 1.546KG it has real heft for its size. Marble is a dense stone, and that weight keeps the base settled on a table or shelf.

It suits a dining table, a mantelpiece, a coffee table, a sideboard or a deep window sill. Fill both holes for a balanced pair of flames at dinner.
