Description

The Fletcher is a 457mm (18") flush ceiling light built around a cylindrical ivory faux silk shade with a polished chrome base plate and central finial. The drum shade conceals three E27 bulb holders inside, with light diffused through both the fabric and a white acrylic diffuser on the underside. The flush mount sits 252mm from the ceiling to the base of the shade, making it compatible with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.3m and above.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and hallways where pendant drops are impractical or where a low-profile fitting is preferred, the Fletcher provides ambient light across a 12-15m² room depending on bulb choice. The 457mm diameter gives the fitting presence without overwhelming smaller ceilings, and the ivory shade softens the light output to reduce glare. The polished chrome finial at the base reflects light downwards and adds a metallic accent beneath the fabric.

The faux silk shade presents as a fine-weave ivory fabric with a subtle sheen, diffusing light evenly around the circumference while the acrylic diffuser beneath prevents direct bulb visibility from below. The three E27 sockets accept LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W each (bulbs sold separately), allowing control over colour temperature and brightness to suit the room. The chrome base plate fixes directly to a UK ceiling rose and the shade clips onto the structure during installation.

The faux silk shade can be dusted with a soft brush or lint roller. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp microfibre cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.
