Flerbenne Outdoor Wall Light with Motion Sensor - Rust & Brown

The Flerbenne is a slim, tubular outdoor wall light with a built-in motion sensor, finished in a warm rust and brown. The body is stainless steel in an auburn colour, topped by a smoked plastic shade that softens the glow of the bulb. It is 40cm tall and 7.5cm across, and stands 16.5cm out from the wall, so it sits neatly beside a door without crowding a narrow path. It takes a standard E27 bulb, which is not included, so the brightness and colour of the light are your choice. With an IP44 rating it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.

Because the sensor is built into the body, the light comes on with movement rather than at the flick of a switch, which is exactly what you want at a front door, a back door, a porch or a side passage. The sensor covers an angle of 120 degrees and reads movement at a range of 6m, so the light greets you as you approach with your hands full of shopping. It suits anyone who comes home after dark, and anyone who would rather not leave an outside light burning all evening. The angled, tapered base and earthy colour sit comfortably against brick, render or timber cladding.

The rust and brown tone is the colour of the finish, not wear: the body is stainless steel, and stainless steel resists rust. The whole fitting weighs 0.4KG. It runs from the mains at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a wired-in light it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download, so you and your electrician can read through them beforehand. Add an E27 bulb of your choosing and the light is ready for its first evening.
