FireNova Fire-Rated Tilt Downlight GU10 - Polished Brass

The FireNova is a fire-rated recessed tilt downlight with a polished brass bezel, pressed steel construction and a GU10 lamp holder that accepts bulbs up to 7W. The bezel tilts 20° from the vertical, allowing the light beam to be directed toward a wall, artwork or focal point rather than straight down. The open-back design uses loop-in/loop-out push-fit terminals for fast daisy-chaining across multiple downlights without additional junction boxes.

Designed for residential ceilings where fire safety regulations apply, the FireNova is fire-tested to 30/60/90 minutes on solid wood joists and 30 minutes on metal web joists and I-joists. The fitting requires a 75mm cut-out and a minimum void depth of 120mm above the ceiling. When paired with the FireNova insulation bridge accessory (sold separately), the fitting becomes IC-rated and can be covered directly with loft insulation without creating a fire risk.

The polished brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that suits both traditional and contemporary interiors, and the low 3mm projection from the ceiling keeps the bezel discreet. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms. Bulbs are sold separately, giving flexibility to choose the beam angle, colour temperature and dimmer compatibility that suits the room.

Knightsbridge produces alternative magnetic bezels for the FireNova in different finishes, allowing the polished brass bezel to be swapped for brushed chrome, matt black or white without re-wiring. The 5-year warranty covers the downlight housing and fire-rating integrity when installed according to the datasheet.

What bulb does the FireNova take?

The downlight accepts standard GU10 LED bulbs up to 7W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-6W GU10 LED in either warm white (2700K-3000K) or neutral white (4000K) depending on the room.

Can it be covered with loft insulation?

Not on its own. The downlight becomes IC-rated when paired with the FireNova insulation bridge accessory (sold separately), which allows loft insulation to be laid directly over the fitting without creating a fire risk.

What fire rating does it carry?

Can the bezel be changed?
