Description
The EXIN LED W-NW is a recessed wall step light that pushes a soft, low-level wash of 4000K cool white from a compact Ø80 mm round face. Drawing 2.5W and producing 50 lumens, it is built for marking rather than flooding, so the light grazes downward across a wall, step edge or low surface without glare into the eye line. Across the Atlantic this kind of fitting is generally sold as a recessed step light, and the principle is the same on either market: a small, fixed-output marker set into the structure rather than mounted on its face.
Its job is wayfinding, so coverage is best judged by throw and edge definition rather than by an area figure. The 50 lumen output picks out the tread of a step, the line of a path or the base of a garden wall over a short, contained spread, enough to make a level change visible underfoot at night while keeping the surrounding space dark. It suits entrance steps, terrace and patio walls, garden retaining walls and sheltered or fully exposed exterior runs, and reads well in a sequence where several units mark a flight of steps or the length of a wall. Mounted at low level into the wall structure, it keeps the source hidden and the effect quiet.
The body is aluminium alloy in a white finish, recessed to sit flush within the wall so only the round face is visible. An IP65 rating means it is sealed against dust and water jets, which clears it for fully exposed outdoor and wet positions as well as covered ones. The fixed 4000K output is not dimmable, and the fitting runs on a 220-240V AC supply with a rated life of around 30,000 hours. The EXIN range includes further step and marker options for matching a run of steps or a continuous wall line.

Frequently Asked
Is this step light suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, which seals it against dust and water jets, so it is suitable for fully exposed outdoor and wet locations as well as sheltered porches and covered steps. It can be used on exterior walls, steps and patio surfaces year round.
How is it installed?
The EXIN is a recessed fitting that mounts into the wall structure rather than onto its surface, so a Ø80 mm aperture is prepared and the fitting sits flush within it. Only the round face shows once installed, which keeps the source hidden and the light directed downward across the surface below.
What colour of light does it give?
It produces a fixed 4000K cool white tone with Ra 80 colour rendering. This neutral white reads cleanly against pale stone, render and timber, making step edges and wall lines easy to pick out at night without a warm or yellow cast.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the white aluminium face with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild detergent, then dry it off, taking care around the sealed lens. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents that could mark the finish. Because it is IP65 rated the seal handles incidental water during cleaning.
