Description
The EXIN is a recessed LED step light built into an 80 × 80 mm square aluminium body, drawing just 2.5W to put out 50 lumens of crisp 4000K cool white. Mains-powered on 220 to 240V AC, it sits flush in the wall and casts a controlled downward wash, the kind of low-level marker light known across US suppliers as a recessed step or stair light. Rather than flooding an area, it picks out the edge of a tread or the line of a path so footing stays clear after dark.
Its natural home is outdoor steps, garden walls, porch sides and the low sections of boundary walls beside a route. Because the output is low and directional, think of it as a guidance fitting marking the step edge directly below it, not as ambient lighting for a space, so plan a run of several units down a flight or along a wall for even coverage. The IP65 rating means it copes with exposed positions and wet weather, so it can go where rain and spray reach it.
The housing is aluminium alloy in a black finish, rated IP65 for full weatherproofing and measuring 80 × 80 × 48 mm at 130 g. It recesses into the wall from a mains supply, with no separate driver to mount, and the 4000K output is fixed rather than dimmable. Rated for 30,000 hours, it is a low-maintenance marker for steps and walls. The Exin range includes further outdoor markers in matching styling.

Frequently Asked
Is the EXIN suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, so it is fully weatherproof and copes with exposed outdoor positions and wet weather. That makes it suitable for outdoor steps, garden walls and porches.
Does it need a separate 12V transformer or driver?
No. The EXIN runs directly from a 220 to 240V AC mains supply, so there is no separate transformer or driver to source and mount. It wires straight into your mains feed.
How is it installed?
It is a recessed fitting that sits flush in the wall, set into a prepared opening so only the face shows. The square 80 × 80 mm body gives a neat low-profile finish at step or path level.
How should I clean it?
Wipe the black aluminium face and the lens with a soft damp cloth to clear dirt, dust and any spray residue. Avoid harsh solvents, which can mark the finish over time.
