Description
The EXIN is a recessed LED step light that pushes a soft 50 lumen wash from a compact round face set into the wall. Running at 2.5W on a 220-240V AC supply, it holds a fixed 3000K warm white tone, the kind of low, glare-free output meant to mark a level change rather than light a whole area. The same fitting is sold across the US as a recessed step light or stair light, and the round Ø80 form factor keeps it flush and unobtrusive once seated.
Because the light throws downward and outward across a short span, it suits the edges of outdoor steps, garden walls, raised paths and porch reveals where you want the tread defined without a bright source in the eyeline. Coverage here is about marking the immediate surface and the line of travel rather than filling a room, so think of it as a guide light staggered along a flight or run rather than a single source for an area. At Ra 80 the warm white reads cleanly against stone, render and timber, and a row of them gives a steady, even rhythm of pools along the route.
The body is aluminium alloy in a grey finish, rated IP65 so it copes with exposed outdoor positions, driving rain and wet locations. It mounts recessed into the wall through a round opening sized to the Ø80 face, sitting nearly flush with a 48 mm depth behind. The integrated LED is fixed warm white and not dimmable, with a rated life of around 30,000 hours, and at 116 g per unit it stays easy to handle during install. The EXIN range includes matching recessed fittings for stepping out a full flight or path.

Frequently Asked
Is it suitable for outdoor and wet locations?
Yes. The EXIN carries an IP65 rating, so it is built for fully exposed outdoor positions, driving rain and other wet locations. It is well suited to external steps, garden walls and paths.
How is it installed?
It recesses into the wall, sitting nearly flush once seated, and needs a round opening matched to the Ø80 face with about 48 mm of depth behind. It runs directly from a 220-240V AC mains supply, so no separate 12V transformer is required for this model.
What colour of light does it give?
The EXIN is fixed at 3000K warm white, a soft low-glare tone that reads well against stone, render and timber. It is not colour selectable, so warm white is the only output.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the face with a soft damp cloth to clear dust, grime and rain marks, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could mar the lens or the grey aluminium body. Keeping the front clear maintains the brightness of the 50 lumen output over its 30,000 hour life.
