Description

These are four handleless stoneware cups, each holding 150ml and measuring 7.5cm across and 9cm tall. Every cup is split into two blocks of colour: a wider glossy band around the rim sits over a slightly narrower lower section in a contrasting shade, so the set reads as multicoloured on the table while each cup keeps its own pairing. At 150ml this is a cup rather than a mug, the right size for a flat white, a cup of tea, juice at breakfast or water at the bedside.

They belong on the breakfast table and the kitchen counter, and they earn their place when friends come round for coffee: hand one to each guest and nobody mixes up whose is whose. Stoneware is a dense material, so it holds the warmth of a hot drink well. Because the lower section is narrower than the rim band, the cups nest one inside the next and stack into a neat column, which suits a small kitchen with limited cupboard space or an open shelf where you want the colour on show.
