The Eveready PJ996 is a 6V heavy-duty battery in the 4R25 format, built with zinc-based chemistry and spring terminals at the top. The battery measures 110mm high by 97mm square and weighs 0.55kg, giving it the size and voltage output needed for larger torches, camping lanterns, safety beacons and industrial devices that cannot run on AA or C cells.

Designed for low to moderate-drain applications, the PJ996 sits within the Eveready Silver range and provides consistent voltage over extended runtime in devices that draw power intermittently rather than continuously. The square profile and integrated spring terminals mean it drops directly into 4R25-compatible battery compartments without additional adapters or holders.
