This is a pack of eight Eveready Gold AA alkaline cells, the 1.5V round cell that most homes get through faster than any other size. AA is listed in trade codes as LR6, so where a device or its old cell is marked LR6 rather than AA, this is the same item under a different name. Alkaline is the everyday non rechargeable chemistry, supplied charged and ready to drop straight in. The eight cells arrive on a single hanging card with a tear open tab at one end, so the pack can be opened a few cells at a time and the rest kept together.

Remotes, wall clocks, wireless keyboards and mice, games controllers, torches, portable radios, kitchen scales and children's toys all run on AA, and most take two or four at a time.
