Description
This is a pair of CR2016 lithium coin cells from Eveready, supplied together on one blister card. Each cell gives 3V, and the four digits of the code are effectively the whole specification: the first two are the diameter in millimetres, the second two the height in tenths of a millimetre. A CR2016 is therefore 20mm across and 1.6mm thick. That last figure is the one that catches people out, because a CR2032 shares the same 20mm diameter and is twice as thick, so the two are not swaps for one another however similar they look in the hand.
Coin cells in this format sit inside the small everyday things that only announce themselves when they stop working: car key fobs, kitchen and bench scales, calculators, garage and gate remotes, thermometers, glucose meters, small LED lights and a good many wristwatches. Before you order, lift the spent cell out and read the code stamped on its flat positive face. All four digits need to match. If the holder is a spring clip rather than a recessed well, note which way up the old one sat before the new cell goes in.
The pack states these are ready to use up to 10 years in storage, which is what makes a two pack sensible rather than wasteful: fit one today and the second keeps in a drawer until the device asks for it. The card is marked child resistant and is opened with scissors rather than by hand, and the printed symbol is a reminder to keep loose coin cells away from young children. One pack holds two cells. The smallest order is 10 packs, in multiples of 10, which works out at 20 cells. That suits a workshop drawer or a spares box rather than a single replacement.

Frequently Asked
Will a CR2016 fit a holder made for a CR2032?
No. Both cells measure 20mm across, but a CR2032 is 3.2mm thick where this one is 1.6mm, so they are not interchangeable.
What voltage do these cells give?
Each cell gives 3V, which is the standard output for a lithium coin cell and does not vary with diameter.
How many cells come in one pack?
Two CR2016 cells on a single blister card. Fit one now and keep the second as a spare for later.
How long will an unused cell keep?
The pack states they are ready to use up to 10 years in storage, so a spare can wait in a drawer.
Is the packaging child resistant?
The card is marked child resistant and needs scissors to open. Keep loose coin cells well away from young children at all times.
