Evelyn 3 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Cream

The Evelyn is a 400mm diameter flush ceiling light built around a cream gauze drum shade with a polished chrome frame and square-cut crystals arranged in a grid behind the fabric. Three E27 bulb holders sit inside the shade, with light diffusing through the cream fabric and refracting through the crystal panel that runs down the centre axis of the drum. A frosted white diffuser sits beneath the shade to soften downward light and prevent glare.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower where a pendant would hang too low, the 210mm projection from the ceiling allows the fitting to provide ambient light without dominating headroom. The cream fabric softens the light output across all three bulbs, making the Evelyn suited to bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways where indirect ambient light is preferred over direct task lighting. The polished chrome canopy and frame accent the cream fabric without introducing high-contrast metallic dominance.

The square-cut crystals behind the fabric are arranged in a vertical panel that runs the full height of the drum shade, creating prismatic reflections when the light is on and adding visual texture when off. The combination of fabric drum, crystal detail and polished chrome gives the fitting weight across traditional, contemporary and transitional interiors. At 3.1kg the fitting requires a secure ceiling rose and fixings into solid joist or ceiling substrate rather than plasterboard alone.

What bulbs does the Evelyn take?

The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 210mm projection from ceiling to base makes the Evelyn well-suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower, where a pendant light would hang too low into the room.

Can the Evelyn be dimmed?

Yes, provided you use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but requires both components to function correctly.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The cream gauze fabric can be gently vacuumed with a soft brush attachment or wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water or cleaning sprays as they may stain or damage the fabric texture.
