The Evasion is a 100cm diameter starburst chandelier built around a central gold-finished metal sphere from which radiating clear glass rods extend outward in all directions, each tipped with an amber-coloured glass end. Nine G9 halogen or LED bulbs sit within the central cluster, casting light through the glass rods and reflecting off the amber tips to create a dispersed glow rather than a focused beam.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Evasion works as both a functional light source and a sculptural centrepiece. The drop is adjustable between 67cm and 112cm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned higher for circulation spaces or lower over a dining table. The included remote control provides dimming functionality, letting the light level be adjusted without needing a wall-mounted dimmer switch.

The gold finish on the central sphere and fittings provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm timber tones and both traditional and contemporary interiors. The clear glass rods with amber tips give the fitting a lighter visual weight than solid metal alternatives of the same 100cm diameter, making it suitable for rooms where a large fitting is needed without dominating the space. Yes. The G9 lampholder accepts both halogen and LED G9 bulbs. Switching to LED reduces heat output and running costs. Check that any LED replacement is dimmable if you plan to use the remote control dimming function.

How does the remote control work?

The remote control is included and operates the dimming function wirelessly. It does not require line-of-sight to the fitting and works through standard plasterboard ceilings. The receiver is integrated into the chandelier's canopy.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 67cm to 112cm. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 75-85cm above the table surface, which suits ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For entrance halls or living rooms where the fitting hangs clear of head height, 2.8m minimum is recommended.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the glass rods and gold-finished metal with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, avoiding any moisture contact with the electrical fittings inside the central sphere.
