Description
The ESP Duceri is a 3W LED emergency exit sign designed for ceiling suspension in maintained mode, with a white polycarbonate housing measuring 335mm x 245mm x 45mm. The fitting includes four interchangeable legend panels (up arrow, down arrow, left arrow, right arrow) allowing the directional arrow to be changed on site without replacing the entire unit. A lithium battery provides backup power to keep the exit sign illuminated during mains failure.
Designed for commercial buildings, offices, retail spaces and hospitality venues where emergency exit signage is required under UK building regulations, the Duceri hangs from a ceiling-mounted backplate with drop cables concealing the electrical connection. The maintained mode means the sign remains illuminated at all times during normal mains operation, not just during power cuts, making it visible day and night. The IP20 rating suits indoor dry locations.
The 3W LED produces clear, high-contrast green and white graphics visible at typical corridor and room distances. The white polycarbonate housing is impact-resistant and the legend panels clip into the front face, allowing the arrow direction to be rotated or changed during installation or later if the building layout changes. The lithium battery backup provides longer service life and more charge cycles than older nickel-cadmium alternatives.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between maintained and non-maintained mode?
Maintained mode keeps the exit sign illuminated at all times when connected to mains power, switching to battery backup during power failure. Non-maintained mode only illuminates the sign during mains failure, leaving it dark under normal conditions. This Duceri model operates in maintained mode only.
How are the legend panels changed?
The four directional arrow panels (up, down, left, right) clip into the front face of the sign. To change direction, remove the current panel by unclipping it from the housing and insert the required directional panel. All four legends are included in the box.
What's the battery backup duration?
ESP emergency signs typically provide 3-hour battery backup as standard to meet UK building regulation requirements. Check the Product Specification Sheet in the Downloads tab for the exact duration rating for this model.
Can it be wall-mounted instead of ceiling-hung?
This model is designed for ceiling suspension with drop cables. For wall-mounted exit signs, see the ESP wall-mount range available at Niori.
