Description

The ESP Duceri is a 3W LED emergency exit box with a down arrow legend, self-test function and lithium battery backup that provides three hours of illumination during mains failure. The unit operates in maintained mode, meaning the exit sign remains lit continuously on mains power and switches to battery automatically when power is lost. The self-test function runs periodic checks on the battery and LED, indicating faults via a front-panel LED status indicator.

Designed for surface mounting above exit doors, stairwells and final exit routes in commercial, hospitality, education and residential buildings where Building Regulations Part B (Fire Safety) require emergency lighting. The 402mm x 204mm x 71mm white steel housing mounts directly to wall or ceiling without recessing, and the IP20 rating makes it suitable for internal dry locations. The down arrow legend directs occupants towards exit routes below the sign position.

The 3W LED light source provides high-visibility green-and-white exit pictogram illumination visible from typical corridor and landing distances, while consuming minimal power during maintained operation. The lithium battery gives longer service life than older nickel-cadmium types and charges faster after discharge. Installation requires connection to a maintained emergency lighting circuit or unswitched mains supply with appropriate circuit protection.
