Description
The ESP Duceri is a 3W LED emergency exit box with a right-arrow legend on a green backlit panel, housed in a chrome-finish steel enclosure measuring 390 x 190 x 60mm. The unit operates in maintained mode, meaning the exit sign remains illuminated continuously on mains power and switches to battery backup during power failure. A LiFePO4 lithium battery provides 3 hours of emergency illumination at 5500K colour temperature.
Designed for wall-mounting in commercial, industrial and public buildings where emergency exit signage is required, the Duceri provides a 25m viewing distance under BS EN 60598-2-22 standards. The maintained mode suits applications where the exit route must be visible at all times, including retail spaces, offices, warehouses and multi-storey buildings. The chrome steel housing offers durability in high-traffic areas and the SMT 2835 LED lamp delivers consistent brightness over the battery's operational life.
The unit includes charge and discharge protection circuitry to extend battery lifespan, with a green LED indicator confirming mains power status. The right-arrow legend directs building occupants towards the designated exit route. The steel construction and wall-mount fitting provide secure installation on masonry, plasterboard or timber stud walls using the rear fixing points.

Frequently Asked
What does maintained mode mean?
Maintained mode means the exit sign remains illuminated continuously on mains power. During a power failure the sign switches to battery backup and continues to operate for 3 hours. This differs from non-maintained mode, where the sign only illuminates during power failure.
What is the viewing distance?
The Duceri provides a 25m viewing distance under BS EN 60598-2-22 standards. This means the exit legend remains clearly visible from 25 metres away in normal lighting conditions and during emergency operation.
How long does the battery last during power failure?
The LiFePO4 lithium battery provides 3 hours of emergency illumination once mains power is lost. The battery includes charge and discharge protection to extend its operational lifespan.
Can the legend be changed to left-arrow or up-arrow?
No. The Duceri D120RCH is supplied with a fixed right-arrow legend. ESP produces separate models with left-arrow and up-arrow legends for different exit route configurations.
