Each arm holds an opal glass globe diffuser that softens and spreads light into the room, creating even ambient coverage without harsh spots or glare from the bulbs.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Enigma sits approximately 180mm from the ceiling once fitted, leaving adequate clearance above doorways and in bedrooms, living rooms and dining areas. The five G9 bulb positions give flexibility to mix wattages and colour temperatures depending on room size and required brightness, with total output typically between 150-250W across five halogen bulbs or 20-40W using LED G9 equivalents. The white metal finish pairs cleanly with white or light-painted ceilings and minimises contrast between the fitting and the ceiling plane.

The opal glass diffusers are smooth, rounded and translucent rather than transparent, meaning the bulbs themselves are not visible when the light is on — only soft white light diffused through the glass. The metal arms and central body are constructed from painted steel, giving the fitting structural rigidity without excessive weight. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmer switches and appropriate dimmable G9 bulbs, allowing light levels to be adjusted from full task lighting to low ambient evening light.

Does it come with bulbs?

No. The Enigma requires five G9 bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for general living areas, with individual bulb wattages between 4W and 7W LED depending on room size and required brightness.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The semi-flush design sits approximately 180mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above where a pendant would hang too low or obstruct sightlines.

Is it dimmable?
